Collection: Balmain
Pierre Balmain founded his fashion house in 1945. The brand was known for its evening wear, creating a distinctive and super feminine DNA contrasting with the utilitarian style of the time. Its embroidered fabrics, narrow waists and longer, wider skirts made the Parisian house a favorite of European royalty and cinema. With the appointment of Olivier Rousteing as creative director in 2011, Balmain has gained a new generation of followers with its philosophy, “fashion is not evolution, it is revolution.” Drawing on the house's extensive design archive and using the atelier's master techniques, it imposes a singular silhouette and contemporary attitude, inspired by streetwear, as well as haute-couture pieces of complex construction for an urban and sexy style.
