Collection: Pepa Salazar

Born in Valencia, Pepa Salazar studied design at the European Institute of Design in Madrid while taking courses in pattern making and tailoring, which play an important role in her designs. After a period working within the Loewe creative team, she launched her first collection in 2013 during Madrid Fashion Week at the Samsung EGO, winning the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent award and repeating the award the following year. Her conceptual, sophisticated and minimalist collections have earned her more awards and more and more fans of her asymmetrical and deconstructed silhouette, such as Rosalía and Kim Kardashian, who seek the careful and intimate luxury of her dresses. Salazar seeks to create a conversation around art, style and feminism, drawing inspiration from references as diverse as the 18th century corset or the most futuristic anime. His transgressive and innovative spirit is reflected in his experiments with fabrics from aquaculture and in his collaborations with Tous and Nike, where he dismantles and recreates cultural icons with a view to the future.
